The Black Box FMT923-R2 is a CAT5e keystone jack that gives installers a straightforward way to build or expand a dependable network. It snaps into any standard keystone opening, so it drops neatly into wall plates, surface mount boxes, or high-density patch panels without extra hardware.

This unshielded jack supports both the T568A and T568B wiring schemes. That flexibility allows you to match existing cabling conventions in offices, schools, data centers, or home networks. Inside the jack, the IDC contacts are made from phosphor bronze and finished with tin, while the nose contacts carry 50-micron gold over 100-micron nickel. These materials work together to maintain clean signal transfer up to 100 MHz, fully meeting TIA/EIA-568-B.2 CAT5e performance requirements and remaining backward compatible with CAT5 and CAT3 devices.

Installation is quick with a standard 110 punch-down tool. A termination retention stuffer cap adds strain relief and lets you verify each wire seating visually before you close the jack.
