I am listing this because it is,
hands-down, the best feeder I have ever used and I have purchased and tried many kinds and brands.
-There is a well on top where you pour a little water to keep ants away (also thoroughly rinsing the outside of sugar water solution after you fill with food helps tremendously :)
-The clear glass helps you see food level and if cloudy you change it no matter how much left. The reason I like the smaller 16 oz. one and only fill it half way and clean/change food frequently.
-The design keeps bees away. We love our pollinating bees but not on our feeders or too close to our homes.
-Very easy to clean! I wash by hand but every so often put on top rack of dishwasher. You DO NOT want mold building which harms the hummies.
-Lastly, I make my own food. Finely granulated white table sugar. In this case DO NOT use organic or unprocessed! 4:1 ratio
